Keeping Children Safe

Are you worried about a child?

If a child is at immediate risk of harm or an emergency situation call 999 immediately.

Safeguarding at our School

Safeguarding is defined as protecting children from maltreatment, preventing impairment of health and/or development, ensuring that children grow up in the provision of safe and effective care and optimising children’s life chances.  This definition was taken from The Elliot Foundation Child Protection and training Policy (found here)

Should you have a concern for a pupil's safety, and it is within the school day (Office open between the hours of 8:50am - 3:30pm), please contact the school on 0121 4644635 and ask to speak to one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads.  These nine staff have undertaken the relevant training to co-ordinate concerns regarding children's safety and are also able to liaise with the relevant outside agencies to ensure children remain safe.  If your concern falls outside of the school day, please telephone the Multi-Agency Safeguarding HUB (MASH) on 0121 303 1888 or e-mail MASH@birmingham.gov.uk.
